Role Overview: Forklift Handling Technician

As a Forklift Handling Technician at DHL, you will be a key player in warehouse operations, ensuring efficient movement of stock and shipments. You will operate various types of forklifts and material-handling equipment, contributing to a fast-paced, team-driven, and safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities of Forklift Handling Technician:

• Operate different types of forklifts, including stand-up, sit-down, clamp forklifts, and electric pallet jacks.
• Load, unload, move, and stage products and materials for 80% of assigned shifts.
• Ensure shipment accuracy by verifying product counts and proper handling.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and comply with OSHA and MSDS safety regulations.
• Inspect and maintain forklift equipment, including battery or LP tank replacements.
• Keep workspaces clean, organized, and in optimal condition.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and report any discrepancies.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Forklift certification or completion of forklift training within 30 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of warehouse experience and forklift operation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to workplace efficiency.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse management systems.
